E-skills

The study aims to investigate on the feasibility of a European exchange mechanism of on-line resources on e-skills serving the community of decision makers involved in training of ICT practitioners.

Name of the service contract:
European Exchange mechanisms for e-learning for e-skills and networking of training and research centers

The aim of the contract is to study and recommend European exchange mechanisms of e-skills training resources (focusing in priority on e-learning courses) for the workforce, and the networking of training and research centres in Europe, with a view to contribute to a better understanding and addressing of future e-skills needs.

The main expected outcome will consist in the provision of detailed proposals for the development of exchanges mechanisms of e-skills training resources and the networking of training and research centres.  Such proposals will be based on the results of the analysis of the state of play and trends in the field as well as on the results of the piloting of an exchange platform where contribution and interaction of stakeholders will be enhanced.

To sum up, the study will:

  • provide a picture of current available information on existing mechanisms for upgrading, exchanging and testing and improving e-skills (with a focus on ICT practitioners)
  • provide conclusions addressing the issues of accessibility, efficiency and scalability of the proposed exchange mechanism (developed in the implementation component of the study).
