Mapping Policies and Practices for Inclusive Education in the Balkans
The main objective of the studies is to contribute to the promotion of inclusive education and training policies and practices in Western Balkan countries in contexts of social and cultural diversity. The study is conducted in two phases. Phase one work focus on analyses of polices and practices regarding teachers’ pre-service training and in-service professional development schemes at the country level followed by a cross country report with the key findings from the country analyses in regard to major issues, challenges and good policies and practices for preparing teachers for inclusive education. The cross-country analysis will be used to inform country and regional level discussions.

SCIENTER is coordinating study. The services provided include
- recruitment coordination of research teams in Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, FYR of Macedonia, Montenegro, Kosovo and Serbia
- research strategy design and follow up (including desk research, focus groups and interviews in all seven countries)
- online perception study design and analysis
- presentation of results at ETF regional seminars
- compilation and consolidation of results
